Red
Bar
The Red Bar pulsates. Its orange-red light radiates, attracting visitors from far beyond the Castell who appreciate well-mixed drinks and good contemporary art. The Red Bar is a portal to another world.
A timeless space that stimulates conversation and indulgence in equal measure: whether for coffee in the morning, a snack between times or a cocktail in the evening: the Red Bar is there, it is a walk-in work of art—a personal experience.
Bar all Day
At the bar or in the lounge—read the morning papers over a coffee, refuel with a light snack at lunchtime, enjoy the afternoon with tea and a good book by the fireplace, and make a date for small talk at Blue Hour.
The sensual Red Bar was designed by Zurich architect Gabrielle Hächler and multimedia artist Pipilotti Rist. As a major eye-catcher it has become the place to meet and emblematic of the Castell.
Lounge and sun deck
During the day we serve light meals from our bar menu, both in the Castell lounge and, if the weather is mild, on the Kawamata sun deck, with fabulous views over the vast Engadin.
