Art near
Castell
Castell Zuoz is part of an exciting network of art in Engadin: Ruedi Bechtler’s collection, architectural elements such as Kawamata’s sun deck and rock sauna as well as James Turrell’s “Skyspace”, local galleries and events such as the Castell Art Weekend and the Engadin Art Talks (E.A.T.) create a dialogue between the Castell, visitors and the region, generating meaning and community.
Art Public Plaiv
ART PUBLIC PLAIV is a project for contemporary art and public life in the La Plaiv region. The works of art developed within the framework of ART PUBLIC PLAIV in the districts of La Punt Chamues-ch, Madulain, Zuoz and S-chanf grapple with the cultural and economic aspirations that shape public life. Between regional ways of life and global networks, self-image and touristic clicheé, they open up a field of modern ways to think and act.
Eight works of art have been created in Zuoz in this way. By the way, one of them is “Skyspace Piz Uter” by the American land art artist James Turrell, right in front of the hotel gates. Or “Wasserfenster” by Swiss artist Roman Signer, below the rock bath.
E.A.T.
Engadin Art Talks (E.A.T.) is the Zuoz forum for art, architecture, design, literature and innovation. The occasion is characterised by a culture of open discussion, participation and international actors from the world of art and culture. Here the present is dealt with in order to surmise the future.
